Refund policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your order to request a cancellation or return.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us as soon as possible if the item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect. We will arrange an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable return postage where appropriate.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at orders@vanitasbooks.co.uk. If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will try to cancel it before shipping. Once it has been dispatched, please tell us within 14 days of receiving it: you must return the goods to us within a further 14 days. We will refund the returned goods and the original delivery charge. You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. 

Exchanges and returns
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return the original item under the policy outlined above and place a new order.

We do not accept change-of-mind returns on sale items or gift cards. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

For a change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for return postage. Books and stationery should be returned in the same condition in which they were received. Please handle them with reasonable care. We may reduce a refund if an item has been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics and function. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Please contact orders@vanitasbooks.co.uk before sending anything back: returns sent without prior contact may be delayed. 

We will provide the return instructions and confirm where the item should be sent.

Refunds
Once a returned item has been received and inspected, any approved refund will be made to the original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 10 working days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at orders@vanitasbooks.co.uk.
